Terms of Service

These Terms are a contract between you and Tarcy. Please read them carefully — by using our app or website you agree to be bound by them.
1. The service
Tarcy is an AI-powered math tutor that shows step-by-step solutions and lets you drill into any step for a mini-lesson. It is not a substitute for a human teacher, and the answers it produces may occasionally be wrong. You're responsible for verifying anything you rely on for exams or coursework.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to create a Tarcy account. If you're under 18 you confirm that a parent or guardian consents to your use of Tarcy.
You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Anyone who signs in through your Google account can act on your behalf on Tarcy.
3. Free and Pro plans
The free plan is limited to a set number of problems per day. Tarcy Pro removes that limit and enables unlimited drilling.
Billing — subscriptions are billed monthly through Razorpay. Prices are shown in-app and may vary by country. Your subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the next billing date.
Cancellation — you can cancel any time from the profile screen or by emailing hello@tarcy.in. Cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current billing period.
Refunds — we offer a refund within 7 days of your first Pro purchase if you haven't used Pro features. Beyond that, refunds are at our discretion.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the service in ways that consume resources disproportionate to normal individual use.
- Submit content that infringes anyone's rights, contains malware, or is designed to solicit sensitive personal information.
- Share your account with more than one person or attempt to bypass free-tier limits.
- Use the service to generate answers you present as your own work in a way that violates your school's academic integrity policy — Tarcy is a learning tool, not a cheating tool.
5. Content you submit
You keep ownership of everything you type or upload. You grant us a limited license to process it in order to generate lessons for you and to run the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Intellectual property
The Tarcy name, logo, website, and app are our property. You may not use them without our permission.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided as is. We do not warrant that solutions will be correct, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. You use Tarcy at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tarcy's total liability to you for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ₹1,000 if you haven't paid anything.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we're required to by law. You can stop using the service and delete your account any time.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, unless local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Tarcy after that counts as acceptance.
